Rider #1: It seems that we may be hit blindsided by another wrinkle spurred from on high.
Rider #2: How’s that?
Rider #1: Well, the super green, high tech and “where did it come from” proposed south library is starting to spawn a little mushroom of discontent. It seems as if the planning and renovation of the still good and functional “old” library -- that’s being considered as Irving’s museum and genealogy home -- might be gasping for funding. Have you heard how this magic bunny is going to be pulled out of the hat and the re-work funded?
Rider #2: Are you kidding? I’m still shoveling “economic development” words on the chamber of commerce $1,675,000++ hand out. Some tax payers are really becoming picky about how we spend their money! And the task is harder when you have a CM running the council instead of the other way around.
