CCRs dwT #42: Foot Shooting

(a short and timely jotting for CCR twits Tweeters)

dwT #42:  In attempt to score political points and demonstrate that she is a registered soothsayer, mayor BVD and her hoard of Kool-Aid sipping bloggers just leap at any chance to blather.  Would all of this be designed for her to prove inept “leadership” or that one doesn’t need facts before spewing drivel all over the public?

Backstory clue for the information impaired:  The ARK group is the responsible party for the city’s Entertainment Center project.  While the city council has approved the agreement with ARK, all of the details and final financing have not been completed.  And until this is done, the project is still subject to minor tweaks and finessing.  However, this doesn’t stop mayor BVD from issuing her scathing premonitions without full knowledge of the facts...and basing her rash assumptions on erroneous reporting by Channel 8 TV.  While it is know that she hasn’t favored ARK or any group that she personally might not have brought to the table, she is content with blathering in her attempt to sound competent as the AP kid in the classroom.  To wit:

mayor BVD to Ch 8: “You know, I hate to say, 'I told you so,' but we warned that this was going to happen,” Van Duyne said. “I will tell you, though, that some of the Council members are shocked that it happened before we've even begun the project."

DMN, Avi Selk:  “Lazes said a Channel 8 report blaming his company for the money issue was “not accurate,” and I agree.”

When one reads the Channel 8 report and then the DMN report, it is frankly obvious that mayor BVD didn’t have a clue...which is not surprising!

Suggestion:  The next time mayor BVD decides to go off half-cocked, maybe she should check to see that she has ammunition.
