CCR 05-06-16 Gunna' Vote?

the   Controversial  Committee   Report
“We don’t raise sacred cows...we just butcher them.”

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, 2016, is election day.  If you have not voted early, this begs the question: Are you prepared to vote tomorrow?

The city’s ship of state can only be righted and placed on an even keel, which will better serve the citizens of Irving, if you vote responsibly.  And to end the divisiveness, created by the mayor and two of her low information puppets, LaMorgese and Farris, the responsible way to vote is:

City Council

Place 1  John Danish

    Place 2  Allan Meagher

Place 7  Kyle Taylor

IISD

District 5  Lee Mosty

In previous reports, staff of the CCR has reflected why the above candidates should be elected.

This report will note why Tom Spink, Emanuel Lewis and Loren Byers should not be elected.

The genesis for this rationale could boil down to: Red Meat TEA-carnivore leanings and pledged allegiance to the current mayor.  These two reasons are instrumental in the divisiveness the mayor has created and perpetuated in the city.  From the inane city council passage of the resolution for State HB 562 to the undying fidelity to Ted "Lizard Grin" Cruz and the babbling of Glenn Beck, the mayor and her sycophant followers have managed to create an environment the city has never before experienced.

Additionally, the mayor has two of the current elected council members (LaMorgese, Farris) actually campaigning against a sitting council member, Allan Meagher.  This, too, is a first in the city when sitting council members endorse a candidate against another sitting council member.  Unbelievable!

How does LaMorgese, who will be on the council after the election, ever expect to have a unified city council when he lends his name in support of a disgraced former council member, Spink, who has yet to accurately note why he fabricated facts concerning his education background on previous campaign mailings?

Of course, LaMorgese has probably been coached by the mayor to take this action on her behalf.  After all, she is attempting to polish her image for an upcoming (2017) re-election campaign…before she runs for a Texas legislative seat.  Farris, on the other hand, did not run for re-election so he has no valid excuse.

The mayor has also depended on Byers to carry her water, especially, when the State HB 562 was splitting the city.  He spoke in favor of this measure as well as other self-interest concerns (Red Meat TEA-carnivore credos) the mayor has attempted to promote.

Regarding Lewis, his background, credentials and recognizable ability to be a council member still remains clouded and unknown.  He babbles the tired rhetoric, which tends to emulate Red Meat TEA-carnivores, and he would probably like nothing better than to be subservient to the mayor.  Issues he pops and posts on social media have little or nothing to do with Irving which should tell readers something about his innate abilities.

As usual, voter turnout in Irving this election will be paltry.  And this is equally sad for such a vibrant city.
(If all registered voters who have complained about city government, pot holes and cronyism all voted, Irving might hit the 87% mark for voter participation.  Instead, the city will probably max out at 9%)

While the mayor and her sycophant followers are attempting to placate cronies, "Dark Money" directors and donors, single source developers, plus Red Meat TEA-carnivores, especially those in the northern section of the city (Hackberry Creek in particular) by pimping for Spink, Irving, as a whole, will witness more divisiveness should the mayor’s slate be elected.

The only suggestion staff of the CCR could offer is: VOTE!

Now is the time for citizens to recognize that the past seven years have been untenable and the city has suffered in the process…regardless of all the photo ops, Red Meat TEA-carnivore speaking engagements and self-indulgent political aspirations the mayor has promoted.

And sadly, the mayor has steadfastly relied on LaMorgese, Farris and Spink to assist her in these endeavors.

Shouldn’t the Irving City council representatives be attuned to Irving concerns and not promulgating the dogma of a national political group…Red Meat TEA-carnivores?  Hasn’t this been the root cause that has marked the mayor’s self-interest actions by embarrassing the city on a worldwide scale?

VOTE Saturday.  VOTE responsibly.  And know when your do VOTE for Danish, Meagher and Taylor, you will be taking the first step to helping restore Irving as the city it really should be!
