Rider #1: Wow! Harper-Brown really gushed when congratulating the CM on his five-year -- “I’m still in charge here” -- anniversary at the last council meeting.
Rider #2: Don’t tell me. And to think that she and others believe he is the anointed one who amassed all those recognition “awards” when he never left his office...except for a “business” lunch at La Cima.
Rider #1: Really. What folks don’t seem to understand is that these “awards” are actually based on printing reams of paper...enough to nearly decimate the Amazon rain forest. If paper could ever improve the work culture at city hall, then we would deserve an award. Instead, we just plod along under the pressure of the CM’s thumb waiting for the next dictate or temper flair-up for not covering his tail.
Rider #2: Amen to that. Did you notice that he hasn’t receive an award for Benevolent Understanding and Handling of the Fire Department Leadership?
