dwT #22: Holy Schlitz, Batman. The Irving city council approved the trifecta and mother of all zoning cases...Twin Peaks. Irving can now strive to be the brewing capital of the metroplex even without an entertainment center.
(Backstory clue for the information impaired: On 07-11-13, the zoning case (#ZC13-0013) for Twin Peaks to construct a brewpub, on their current restaurant site, was approved by the council. This will allow them to actually brew three different brands of beer (in Irving) for sale to local restaurants and other watering holes. Considering the puritanical history of Irving when it comes to booze, boobs and boogie dancing, this represents a landmark decision and even knocks the blinders off those who hadn’t realized that Irving has now entered the 21st century with a foam head.
