dwT #29: Mayor BVD has directed city manager Tommy Gonzalez to have the IPD post a 24/7 security detail around the Mustangs of Las Colinas in Williams Square. Her fear is that someone from Frisco, Dallas, or Arlington might attempt to snatch the mustangs, for their promotion and civic pride, prior to the next Irving council election.
Backstory clue for the information impaired: Do you really need a clue for this one? Think: Dallas Cowboys leaving Texas Stadium for ‘JerryWorld’ in Arlington; Dallas Cowboys training facility packing up the jock straps and heading to Frisco; and the Byron Nelson teeing off across the Trinity in South Dallas. Why couldn’t someone want to abscond with all the vacant property in the Heritage District? Also, Dylan would like to mention that there are some really funny folks in Irving that have the creativity and humor gene to be a staff member of the CCR.
