Westminster Polling and Neutering Services has released the numbers for the first half-day of early voting in the Irving mayoral race and staff of the CCR is not surprised. The polling numbers currently reflect (like the attached pic) the front runner as being Dylan Westie. Ballot Count: Dylan = 98%, Herbie = 1% and BVD = 1%. And to think…Dylan was not endorsed by the DMN, has not spent over ½ million for fluffy advertising, and only attended one quasi-political event -- the Heritage Society fish fry.
If these numbers hold true, then he will achieve the same voting results as a Middle East dictator. Only in 'beautiful downtown Irving' can a West Highland White Terrier, born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, become the mayor of a major suburban city without really trying.
