The Dallas Morning News reporter of record for Irving during the past several years, Avi Selk, has accepted a position with the Washington Post. Damn!
Residents of Irving who relied on Avi’s reporting will truly miss his keen and articulate writing skills, ability to separate fact from political fiction, and his astute understanding of issues which were truly relevant to Irving’s involved core of ethical community supporters.
As a reader of Avi’s work, staff of the CCR relied on his ability to report what needed to be reported without regard to political personalities or those with a self-interest agenda.
As a final tribute to a DMN-recognized Reporter of the Year, the CCR would add this final bon voyage for Avi by publishing Dylan Westie’s, Executive editor/Part-time wordsmith and Social Media Troll for the CCR, tweet of appreciation for his body of work while serving Irving.
The Cajun member of the CCR staff could only add: Laissez les bons temps rouler in the D.C. swamp!
