IISD #27: Censure Grapes?

IISD Admin Lunchroom Chatter #27

Nosher #1:  Well, we know one thing for sure about the censure resolution* Huffstetler and V. Jones pulled together for the ISD board meeting on Monday (4-1-13).  Huffstetler didn’t write it...it was grammatically correct with no spelling errors.  And V. Jones probably couldn’t...she isn’t an attorney.  Guess that leaves the discussion open to them involving someone else in their little conspiracy to discredit those they do not agree with.  After all, Huffstetler has already seen that over $25,000 was spent by the district in legal fees in her attempt to accomplish basically this same thing over a year ago...to no success!

Nosher #2:  If you ask me, both of them are just showing how little they are.  When they realized that they were not going to be in control of the board to ply their own whims and fancies, they subverted to playing cheap political games and tricks.  It is really a shame that Huffstetler didn’t conform, during all her years of service, with the same board policies that she is now accusing someone else of fracturing.  And V. Jones was no saint when it comes to flexing processes regarding open meeting requirements.

Nosher #1:  What makes all this really sad for Huffstetler and V. Jones is they actually believe that their actions are beneficial to the district.  Their thinking is so myopic and self-centered that this type of open political ‘cat fighting’ diminishes any credibility they thought they may have had with the voting public.  Noting the day this resolution is going to be considered, maybe we have a good idea who the real fools could be.

Nosher #2:  No joke!  I’m reminded of a time many years back when Joan Sears, Pat Norman and Irma Janicek didn’t like anyone interfering with their pet projects, secret discussions and challenging control over the board.  Of course, the citizens eventually saw through their charade and they became a sour-footnote of board history.  Individuals will remember the chaos that these two individuals have created after the board meets to discuss this fabricated censure resolution.  And the same self-serving, sour-footnote of board history will be the legacy for Huffstetler and V. Jones.

Nosher #1:  Well, you can probably bet that Gwen Craig will be siding with this dysfunctional cabal of sour grape purveyors.  After all, she has been part of the group that extended and then re-extended the super’s contract to 2017.  Not a real smart move for someone who wants to get re-elected this year.  But then...she always justifies everything she does as being just for the “kids.”
