CCR 03-18-18 Becoming Human, Again

the   Controversial  Committee   Report
“We don’t raise sacred cows...we just butcher them.”

“Becoming Human, Again”

Recent events have caused us to reconsider that it is okay to fail at something.  And in that light, staff of the CCR  (Dylan Westie, Executive Editor, Part-time wordsmith and former Social Media Troll; Mark Holbrook, Publisher; and Mike Howard, Wordsmith) would like to inform denizens of ‘beautiful downtown Irving’ a new day has dawned…we have failed.  Hallelujah!

The CCR staff failed (by choosing) and is now officially a proud Social Media Dropout.  And with this one failure, we are grateful to place a gold star on our ‘permanent’ school record.

Yes, our failure is that we have abandoned social media and deleted the @dylanwestie1 Twitter account.  While the account was not used with the same frequency as “Trump w/Tourette-fingers©️,” the app was deluged daily with ads, e-mails, possible “friends” to follow whom one would never invite into their homes, and other Twitter garbage requiring daily disposal.  Cleaning up and reviewing the Twitter account daily was as unwelcome as cleaning the Augean stables.
(Note: The nearly 2,000 tweets have been copied and will permanently reside in the City of Irving archives.  Gone, but not forgotten.)

If you didn’t catch the last Dylan Westie tweet, the following was noted:

Dylan Westie  @dylanwestie1   March 16, 2018
That’s it.  Today, I become a Social Media Dropout.  Going to delete this Twitter account due to all the fake news, bothersome e-mails from Twitter, Russian hacking and mouth drooling/myopic sycophants who congregate and spew unsubstantiated Torofeca©️ ( 🐄💩 ). Bye…DW
If you want to get in touch with me down the road, go to: http://controversialcommittee.blogspot.com . I'll still be the Executive Editor for the blog site.

The task of dropping out of social media continued and the two FaceBook accounts (Dylan Westie and Mark Holbrook) were eliminated.  This process was a bit more perplexing.  One has to assume “king” Zuckerberg doesn’t want any of his brain-drained minions to ever leave his flock.  But leave the flock we did.

After all, think of all the revenue FaceBook would miss if individuals could easily drop out and quit posting to this app…especially revenue from all the Russian ads and faux posters creating havoc and fake news accounts by trolling the app for unstable, fertile minds to harvest!

And quiet frankly, the CCR staff was a bit tired of seeing all the additional clutter on our FaceBook page from folks posting their current dining spots…thereby creating a bout of gastric indigestion for the CCR staff.

So, where does this leave the CCR staff in a world of trolls with too much time on their hands?  Good question!

A new sense of freedom now exists!  And we have certainly recaptured valuable time to address any issue of real importance.  Our iPhone no longer beeps with the frequency of an individual experiencing cardiac arrest.

With all this in mind, staff of the CCR plans to continue posting reports to the blog site.  Announcements of new posts will not be contained on any social media account.  Distribution will only be to our coveted e-mail list…with of course, the forwarding of reports by other supporters to their contact lists.

The contents of the CCR reports will still favor the misguided accounts of bureaucratic bumbling; the spending of tax bucks for special interest individuals and projects; and a gentle wandering into State and maybe, Federal “cat kicking.”  Nothing new here!  After all, we still don’t raise sacred cows in the staff workroom.

Side note:  If, dear readers, you enjoy Federal “cat kicking,” in its highest and brightest form, then the following site should sate your appetite for all things wrong in the D.C. swamp and surrounding areas:  http://stiltonsplace.blogspot.com

For now, keep the controversialcommittee.blogspot.com on your Favorites bar when on the Internet and visit the CCR site when needing a dose of rational understanding as to why bureaucrats and politicos just seem to be incognizant of what tax payers really need or desire from their public officials  servants.

BTW: Staff of the CCR realizes Irving will be having an upcoming city council election.  What better way to kick off our recent hibernation than detailing the choices available for those who could best run city hall?

Currently, we are reviewing materials to determine why a couple of newbie Irving-residents believe they know what is best for the city.  With only one District having candidates to vote on this year, the decision making process, dear readers, should be simple…unless the ex-QueenB VD forces attempt a sneak attack to once again push their myopic vision by having a new, inexperienced, and malleable Pet Rock enshrined on the city council.

The city council is currently Pet Rock-free now that LaMorgese has faded into the political sunset of undistinguished public service.

Isn’t this the time for the city to continue making real progress without the burden of the self-serving agenda fostered by the queen’s Pet Rock clan?
