Well, dear readers, we have, as you know, given up on Twitter and FaceBook. So, the next logical step probably would be to disregard watching and listening to what the national news media and the cable opining/drooling hosts have to offer…especially regarding the current presidential administration.
It appears each day the rush is on to find, fabricate, or facilitate a narrative which will cast a shadow over whatever the administration has said, plans to do, or projects for the future. And these “news” cycles generally last two days until they have drained all the political blood from squeezing the political Trump turnip.
For example: The nightly “talking point readers” (otherwise characterized — in their own mind — as network anchor reporters) had wedgies in their undies due to President Trump congratulating Vladimir Putin on his latest rigged election results. Wow! Staff of the CCR will not be able to sleep tonight knowing this was the main headline, news alert, or latest unabashed constitutional violation (in their mind’s eye) by the president!
Let’s look at some facts: First, Putin is as close to a dictator as one could imagine. And if you didn’t vote for him, then you might lose your voting-ink stained finger. He is ruthless, narcissistic (see all his pics without a shirt on), and an autocratic head of a desperate government which gives little concern to citizen needs. After all, there is only one way to do anything in Russia under Putin…his way, or the grave.
But that’s not really the point. Everyone already knew all this!
So what does the media do? They paint President Trump as approving all Putin’s egregious actions based on the fact he congratulated him on winning a rigged election. Staff of the CCR wonders if the media considers Trump’s actions a veinal or mortal sin dooming him to eternal fire and brimstone.
Regardless of which type of sin determined, the media already purchased a first class ticket, over a year ago, for President Trump to ride a bullet train to Hell.
Just how disingenuous is this? Even if one doesn’t approve of the President’s handling of his duties or his brash demeanor, the media continues to leap from reporting to espousing slated opinions.
And for the record: Other world leaders also sent their “kudos” to the KGB poster child. Here are just a few of the allies, possible partners of the USA, or world leaders who sent congrats to Putin. Of course, in their pillaging of President Trump, the talking point anchors/hosts failed to mention this list when spouting about the Russian fixed election results.
The list not mentioned by media shills would include: French President Emmanuel Macron, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chinese President Xi Jinping (of course he would), Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (of course he would, too), and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (to be sure he would).
While the list is impressive, a primary world leader who didn’t respond with any sentiments — and for very valid reasons — was British Prime Minister Theresa May.
When Putin henchmen poison someone in your country, common sense dictates your don’t congratulate them on anything.
For the Short-term-Memory Media: Six years ago, the sitting president took the time to send congratulatory comments to Putin when he was elected. Of course, the media, covering the president at this time (which still exists today) would do anything to make it sound as if the president was the sharpest tack in the box…even when the box was filled full of washers.
Here is the statement the White House issued at that time: “President Obama called Russian President-elect and Prime Minister Putin to congratulate him on his recent victory in the Russian Presidential Election.” March 2012
Where was the outcry regarding Russian collusion? Where was the belittling of the president for such an egregious tramping of diplomatic tensions? Didn’t the president know Putin was the leader of his own autocracy?
(Apparently, the media believes the sauce for the goose does not ever complement the gander… with President Trump being the gander in this case.)
Of course, the president already had assured then-Russian President Dmitri Medvedev “this is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility.” Medvedev responded to President Obama he would see that Putin got the message!
(Collusion in the Obama election that year, anyone?)
In summary: Most folks, who don’t drag their knuckles, already know the main stream media is biased in favor of liberal, progressive persuasions. And there is little hope this will ever change. And while it is a fact of life, the media will rant and rave that bias doesn’t exist!
(Even the FBI recently has attempted to convince the public some of their echelon of top administrative folks aren’t biased. Really?)
This point of favoritism and bias in the media is only reinforced when reading today’s account of Trump’s latest sin of “having spelling errors in some of his Tweets.” Holy shades of obstruction of justice, Batman! Seriously, this is news?
Yes, dear reader, the entire planet is now doomed because fat fingers and/or Apple spell correct just not catching all the possible mistakes made by the president.
It must be time to dig deeply to construct and stock a survivor shelter as this new “news” issue can only spiel (auto correct turned off) the end of time for any rational thinker.
