CCR 02-06-20 Fairy Tales

the   Controversial  Committee   Report
“We don’t raise sacred cows...we just butcher them.”

“Fairy Tales”

Well, dear readers, the March 3, 2020, primary election to select Irving’s representative for the U.S. Congress is quickly approaching.

As previously noted, ‘staff’ of the CCR will be supporting and voting for Desi Maes.  Desi, as you may already know, is a retired Army Green Beret officer with over twenty years experiencing protecting our freedoms and rights.  And today, he still  devotes a considerable amount of community time in support of disabled veterans and others in need.  His construction company also hires veterans to assist disabled veterans repair and renovate their homes.

Desi has the background, experience, and the innate ability to represent your interest and values as a Congressman.  What is even better is the fact Desi is not a political product of the swamp!  He is independent and doesn’t rely on Sugar Daddy contributions to finance his campaign, or allow them to tie strings to his voting arm.

While there are many more positive attributes Desi possesses, these should be compared to his chief opponent — Swamp Queen BVD, otherwise know as Beth Van Duyne, former ex-mayor of Irving.

While you have probably seen the multitude of fairy tale brochures BVDs Sugar Daddy contributors have financed, only one thing should be noted — the materials are not factual with the reality of her horrendous service to the city.

Perhaps, she should address a few questions which seem to be overlooked in all her political blathering in her fairy tale brochures.

*  Were her Sugar Daddy developers pulling the strings attached to her voting arm to constantly be against the Entertainment Center project?  Even when ARK had taken over the project, wasn’t she often the lone vote against all items related to the Irving Toyota Music Factory?  Didn’t she even fail to attend the ribbon cutting for the project opening which has become a shining star and tourist attraction for the city?

 *  When she didn’t run for re-election (probably knowing she could be defeated due to her disastrous service), did she become math deficient by attempting to submit $4,700 in travel expenses without proper, or any documentation?  Did some of her expenses include expenditures for family members, including charges for a Disney theme park venture? During a five year period, didn’t she utilize city tax bucks to fund over $25,000 for her self-aggrandizing travel expenses?

*  While she now attempts to convince voters she is a strong supporter of the Trump administration policies, didn’t she, as mayor, deny the Trump campaign the opportunity to hold a political rally in Irving?  Did her support for the Trump administration gel when she became a paid bureaucrat  for the Department of Housing and Urban Development?  Wasn’t her personal position, as mayor, against public housing in the city?

*  Does her resumé, of personal business “accomplishments,” fail to provide correct dates of ownership and any notices of taxes failed to be timely paid?

*  Did The Dallas Morning News editorial board have to hold their noses and take a gag reflex Rx when endorsing BVD for this primary election?  Hasn’t previous editorials and commentaries in the paper blasted BVD for her stand and voting on issues relative and important to the city?  Have you ever read such a negative endorsement of a politico for such an important position?

While there are many other discrepancies which could be noted regarding her political mailings, voters should first realize she is still the same self-serving, egotistical, photo op seeker, and swamp wader she was when serving as mayor of Irving.  Irving voters know all this, but it is hoped those in other cities receiving her fairly tales will soon learn the truth, too.

Dear readers, you can help spread the word by sending a copy of this report to family and friends who live in the congressional district.  The election will be considerably important to Irving, and a representative who has Irving and its values in mind is needed and required —  think Desi Maes.

Irving deserves only the best representation…not a swamp politician the likes of BVD.

Publisher’s Note:  In the recently published book by former CCR ‘staff’ member, Dylan Westie, there are two sections where many of BVDs failures, to perform mayoral duties for the benefit of citizens, are noted.  The book is a limited edition and is only available by contacting via e-mail: dylanwestie@yahoo.com .  Many readers have already purchased a copy and find a canines perspective on local politics is not only factual, but even humorous for many issues.  The book’s information would constitute another good reason to know why primary voters should be considering Desi Maes for the congressional seat to represent Irving’s values and needs in the March primary election.
